Client Spotlight-Castilla Orthodontics

(Salem, OR) July 11, 2017 – Ortho Marketing is proud to recognize one of our marketing partners, Castilla Orthodontics.  Dr. Ana Castilla and her team are a multiple award winning practice, including 2017 "Best of the Mid Valley" gold honorees.  In addition, Dr. Castilla is featured on the cover of the latest edition of The Progressive Orthodontist magazine. 

Dr. Castilla attributes her success to her team and their level of interaction with patients.  

"I think people come to our office for 3 main reasons. One, we listen to them carefully about what they want. Secondly, we work hard to overcome the obstacles they may have to starting treatment. And believe me, we get super creative sometimes. I suppose the second reason is just a result of the first reason. Finally, we make it easy for our patients to reach out to us and get to know us. We’re accessible and approachable. We communicate with people how they want to communicate. This may be via online chat, Facebook Messenger, text, email, phone, etc. In today’s age of technology, the sky is the limit. We have done New Patient consults via Skype because Mom couldn’t make it to the appointment. We have scheduled New Patient Exams via Facebook Messenger. About Castilla Orthodontics:

Dr. Ana Castilla was born in Ecuador and grew up in Brooklyn, New York. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Welding Engineering from The Ohio State University, where she also became a fan of college football. For the next three years, she worked as a manufacturing engineer before returning to The Ohio State University to commence her dental training.

In 2005, she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and completed a General Practice Residency at the Dallas VA Medical Center in 2006. Dr. Castilla worked as a General Dentist in Texas for four years prior to moving to Portland to begin her Orthodontic Residency at OHSU. During the two and a half years of her residency, she fell in love with the Pacific Northwest and decided to make it her home.

Dr. Castilla is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is dedicated to both education and research in the field of Orthodontics. Her research on indirect bonding techniques has been published in the Angle Orthodontist journal. Additionally, she is an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the Oregon Health and Science University Department of Orthodontics, where she teaches pre-doctoral students, orthodontic residents, and pediatric residents. In her free time, Dr. Castilla enjoys reading, traveling, history and fashion. She is happily married to her husband Eddy and has 2 pets, a cat named King Louis and a dog named Puchita. She is very excited about the opportunity to create beautiful smiles with Invisalign and braces and serve the Salem community!
